Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and supervise surface and underground warehouse activities.
Manage site storeroom inventory using SAP, with an approximate inventory value of $12 million to $17 million.
Ensure consistent 24/7 high-level customer service to Maintenance and Operations departments.
Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations supervisors regarding parts and material inventory requirements to prevent plant or equipment shutdowns.
Build and maintain working relationships with site stakeholders.
Ensure safe execution of warehouse processes and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Monitor costs, quality, continuous improvement initiatives, employee development and engagement, and new programs.
Manage inventory cycle counts, ordering activities, new inventory additions, obsolete inventory, surplus materials, and disposal.
Provide correspondence and ongoing problem-solving support within the site business unit.
Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and issues and involve appropriate stakeholders.
Attend site and business unit meetings and follow up on action items.
Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP.
Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse processes, procedures, and policies.
Communicate and execute departmental and business unit requirements, including 5S objectives.
Lead storeroom safety meetings and conduct safety audits.
Develop, coach, and support employees; facilitate cross-training and provide constructive feedback.
Address performance concerns and participate in ongoing training.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, and/or supervisory experience.
Experience working with SAP, including purchasing, inventory management, and materials control functions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred experience in mining, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy-equipment environments.
Preferred knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, procurement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred experience leading safety initiatives and employee development programs.
