Responsible for carrying out field engineering duties during a radio system upgrade cycle
Upgrading/deploying various devices including network gear, Windows-based devices, virtual machines, and proprietary Motorola devices
Customer facing technical resource through the upgrade effort
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or Networking OR 3-5 years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience
Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE
Experience working with Project 25 products (trunked and conventional)
Experience with IP networking, network design methodologies, and troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS)
Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of: Workstation Operating Systems, specifically Windows 10 and 11; Switches, specifically Aruba and Juniper; Firewalls, specifically Fortinet and Juniper; Routers, specifically MNR and Juniper
Fluent in both English and French
Licensed Professional Engineer or have the proper academic and work experience to obtain the accreditation
Strongly desired to live in the BC, AB, or QC area with close proximity to a major airport
