About the role

  • Principal Designer setting visual design excellence and strategy for Multiplayer’s client products. Developing scalable standards, aligning senior stakeholders, and representing the studio externally.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the studio’s standard of design excellence and make it repeatable and scalable
  • Develop frameworks, training, and craft standards
  • Advise Leads and Senior Leads on craft strategy
  • Set design vision and strategy tied to client business goals
  • Work across a portfolio of large, complex products
  • Align clients and designers, often influencing without direct authority
  • Evolve design standards in response to client needs, AI, technology, and industry norms
  • Communicate with Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders
  • Use storytelling to build client buy-in and unite teams
  • Represent the studio at keynotes, panels, and major publications
  • Support business development through design credibility in client conversations and pitches
  • Contribute to continuous creative improvement, innovation, and excellence

Requirements

  • Proven 10 years full-time industry experience as a product designer
  • Portfolio we can access
  • Must have a minimum 3-hour overlap with Toronto EST timezone
