About the role
- Video Editor at NAIT Nugget responsible for creating engaging video content for social media platforms. Leading projects and collaborating with team members in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Pitch, plan and create at least one video project a week for TikTok and YouTube
- Write scripts, reach out to interview subjects, talk to students for video projects
- Film & edit video projects for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Work with Digital Content creator and social media coordinator to collaborate on projects, visuals and timelines
- Go on scene to cover breaking news, campus events, student interactions
Requirements
- Must be a current NAIT student enrolled for the full 2026/27 academic year, until at least April 2027
- Must be available for training during the first week of August; flexible work schedule for the rest of August
- Knowledge in video editing software
- Reliable and dependable to meet deadlines
- Comfortable interacting with a diverse group of people
