About the role

Senior Software Developer in the Check Fraud Consortium Analytics team using data-driven systems. Collaborate with teams and build reliable platforms to combat check fraud.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and evolve data services, pipelines, and workflows that power Check Fraud Consortium Analytics capabilities.
Contribute to the technical design and implementation of analytics-driven features that enable collaboration across financial institutions while preserving data privacy.
Own complex problem spaces end-to-end — from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing reliability.
Partner closely with Product, Data, Engineering, and Customer teams to deliver proof points that demonstrate customer value and influence product direction.
Improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of core capabilities, including data ingestion, batch processing, analytics workflows, and automated resolution paths.
Drive technical quality through code reviews, thoughtful design discussions, and a strong focus on operational excellence.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years experience building and maintaining production object-oriented software, with hands-on development in languages such as Java and Python.
Proven ability to analyze large datasets and solve complex problems, using sound analytical judgment and creative approaches.
Experience translating customer and business needs into technical and analytical implementations that deliver clear value.
Collaborative, clear communicator who is willing to ask for help, learn from others, mentor teammates, and contribute positively in fast-moving, cross-functional environments.
