About the role
- Software Development Engineer in Test II developing automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for Akamai’s Kubernetes cloud platform. Validating scalable cloud-native services and improving reliability, security, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing tests, supporting frameworks, and continuous delivery execution pipelines
- Validate and test cloud-native architectures
- Troubleshoot automated test pipeline failures
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile environment to improve quality
- Participate in defining testing best practices
- Share technical knowledge with peers
- Help build the next-generation platform for new products and services
- Simplify performance, reliability, security, and operational needs of cloud-native products and services
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
- Experience building test automation solutions using Pytest/Python
- Experience operating or testing scalable production services using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Working knowledge of security principles
- Experience leveraging CI/CD tools
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
