About the role
- Engineer specializing in mechanical integrity and asset reliability at Norda Stelo. Responsible for inspections, analyses, and ensuring safety compliance in Québec's reservoirs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare inspection plans for atmospheric storage tanks;
- Perform in-service and out-of-service visual inspections of all types of tanks;
- Analyze inspection data (thickness measurements, dimensional surveys, etc.);
- Calculate component corrosion rates;
- Prepare inspection reports including recommendations;
- Prepare repair scopes and estimates;
- Prepare and review plans for tank rehabilitation and repair;
- Conduct on-site follow-ups during inspection and/or tank rehabilitation works;
- Perform advanced analyses — able to interpret and coordinate finite element analyses;
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules in effect at Norda Stelo and at client sites.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
- Hold API 653 certification;
- Have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years working with storage tanks;
- Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Engineers Quebec);
- Be autonomous, resourceful and proactive;
- Knowledge of general degradation mechanisms (an asset);
- Ability to coordinate projects;
- Basic knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques;
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Québec.
