Responsibilities
- Design and size structural elements as part of multidisciplinary projects
- Perform advanced structural analyses
- Prepare, sign and approve technical reports in accordance with applicable requirements and current quality standards
- Prepare and submit cost estimation reports
- Collaborate with the execution team to ensure the quality of engineering work and project delivery, and provide technical support for on-site activities
- Participate in the preparation of service proposals, contractual documents and bids
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical practices and standards
- Actively participate in project management as the discipline engineer
- Take part in the design of structural elements within multidisciplinary projects
- Perform any other related tasks associated with a structural engineering role
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in structural design
- Proficiency with SAFI, ADA, Robot and/or STAAD Pro software
- Excellent prioritization skills in a multidisciplinary environment
- Technical rigor and strong commitment to quality standards
- Leadership and ability to influence
- Proactive and initiative-taking, with a strong team spirit
- Proficient in French, both spoken and written; functional knowledge of English may be required to maintain regular communication with suppliers or partners whose working language is English.
