Junior Process Engineer providing engineering design support for mining projects at Sedgman in Vancouver. Responsible for collaborating with design team and delivering high-quality engineering work.
Responsibilities
Provide process design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.
Develop, improve and promote the effective use of operations systems (i.e. JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, DocHub)
Troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
Develop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria.
Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs.
Size process equipment and develop specifications.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
Will be up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes

Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)
Will have 2-5 years of process engineering design experience
Must have P.Eng or EIT Designation, or in process of obtaining EGBC registration.
Prior experience in an operating process plant, engineering / consulting firm, mineral processing equipment vendor, or mineral processing laboratory is preferred
In depth knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies
Chemical and mineral processing experience is highly desired.
Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.
Proven ability to work as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
