About the role
- Intermediate Consultant (Mining Engineer) supporting mine planning operations in Calgary. Engaging in project development and fostering positive client relationships to enhance mining practices.
Responsibilities
- Support mine planning team with guidance and mentorship
- Develop and follow core processes and uphold technical standards
- Ensure safety and well-being through active leadership
- Create design surfaces, schedules, and cost estimates
- Assist in proposal development and prepare technical documentation
- Facilitate workshops and conduct risk assessments
Requirements
- Experience in mine and/or tailings planning
- Knowledge of mine planning first principles
- Familiarity with regulatory and legislative frameworks
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with mine planning software (Hexagon MinePlan and/or Deswik)
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with APEGA or equivalent
