About the role

  • Intermediate Consultant (Mining Engineer) supporting mine planning operations in Calgary. Engaging in project development and fostering positive client relationships to enhance mining practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support mine planning team with guidance and mentorship
  • Develop and follow core processes and uphold technical standards
  • Ensure safety and well-being through active leadership
  • Create design surfaces, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Assist in proposal development and prepare technical documentation
  • Facilitate workshops and conduct risk assessments

Requirements

  • Experience in mine and/or tailings planning
  • Knowledge of mine planning first principles
  • Familiarity with regulatory and legislative frameworks
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with mine planning software (Hexagon MinePlan and/or Deswik)
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with APEGA or equivalent
