About the role

Intermediate Consultant (Water Resources Engineer) developing innovative solutions for mine water management for sustainable land stewardship. Collaborating with clients and cross-disciplinary teams in the mining industry.

Responsibilities

Perform climate, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support peak flow, flood control and erosion mitigation studies
Complete hydrologic and engineering designs for mining clients, incorporating climate change assessments
Develop and manage mine water balance models
Design and assess mine water management infrastructure, focusing on surface water infrastructure
Provide guidance for the planning and execution of water monitoring programs
Complete technically proficient reports that meet project requirements

Bachelor or graduate degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering
Holds a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or is eligible to obtain it
5 to 8 years of experience in water management within the mining industry
Demonstrated experience in hydrology, hydraulics, water infrastructure design, and water balance modelling
Proficiency using water modelling software such as GoldSim, HEC-HMS, and other relevant numerical modelling programs
Strong verbal and written communication skills for business and technical writing
