About the role
- Field Technician responsible for installing and maintaining OPTEL traceability systems at client sites. Collaborates with technical teams and provides training to end-users, ensuring satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install OPTEL systems at client sites in accordance with established standards
- Carry out mechanical and electrical installation while ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Collaborate with the technical support and factory design team to diagnose and resolve issues
- Train end-users on the proper use of OPTEL systems
- Prepare complete and accurate installation reports
- Support clients during system qualification
- Perform maintenance and repair on installed systems, as requested by the customer service department
- Conduct engineering visits when required
- Produce detailed service reports
- Identify potential sales opportunities (new contracts, complementary systems)
Requirements
- College diploma in electronics, computer science, electromechanics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge in computer science and electronics
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics industries (asset)
- Hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong client orientation and solid teamwork skills
- Resourcefulness, adaptability, versatility, and flexibility
- Availability to travel approximately three weeks per month
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- High curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.
