About the role

Senior Commercial Counsel negotiating enterprise SaaS contracts for Optro’s AI-powered GRC platform. Advising customers and teams on agreements while streamlining contracting processes.

Responsibilities

Serve as an integral member of Optro’s expanding legal team
Primarily focus on Enterprise deals and support West Coast Area Directors and their teams
Independently lead legal negotiations with customers
Provide general guidance on subscription agreements, data processing agreements, partner agreements, and vendor agreements
Shape key initiatives to streamline Optro’s contracting process as the company scales

8+ years of in-house transactional experience in a role requiring direct interaction with potential customers, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders and executives from sales to information security
5+ years of experience negotiating SaaS agreements, Amendments, and Order Forms with enterprise customers
Understanding of the full contract lifecycle from NDA to internal approvals through conclusion of the signature process
Great bedside manner when working through deals, both internal and external
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency editing and managing contracts using Microsoft Office and Google Product Suites
Growth mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks to completion within required time frames
Team mentality with flexibility to address unique issues in real time and awareness of when to involve others
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence
