About the role

Specialist Engineer optimizing critical rotating equipment for Orica's Global Specialist Asset Integrity team. Leading engineering and reliability efforts across global manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across rotating equipment, including lifecycle analysis and turnaround support
Support global manufacturing sites by improving reliability, performance, and equipment integrity
Apply data driven engineering insights to reduce operational risk and extend asset life
Lead or contribute to benchmarking, innovation initiatives, and best practice development
Serve as a technical contributor to HAZOPs, LOPAs, and functional safety activities
Actively participate in and help lead Communities of Practice across the business

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
7+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years of hands on rotating equipment experience in continuous or heavy manufacturing environments
Strong background working with turbomachinery, compressors, steam turbines, and associated systems
Working knowledge of API/ISO standards, NDE methods, vibration analysis, lubrication systems, thermography, and dynamic balancing
Ability to influence across functions with clear communication, technical leadership, and mentoring skills
