About the role
- Lead Solutions Engineer at Paramount Commerce bridging commercial goals and technical capabilities in payments. Responsible for technical pre-sales, solution design, and collaboration with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the connective tissue between commercial goals and technical capabilities.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, and integration scoping.
- Partner with implementation and engineering teams for clean handoffs.
- Establish documentation standards and technical deal qualification criteria.
Requirements
- 7 to 10+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a technical pre-sales hybrid within the payments industry.
- Understanding of the Canadian and US payments ecosystem at an operational level: Interac, A2A and EFT flows, card acquiring.
- Direct experience in gaming, crypto, or fintech integrations.
- Strong working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, reconciliation, and settlement flows.
- Ability to handle deep technical questioning and guide stakeholders.
