About the role
- Bilingual French-first software tester testing public-facing applications and phone systems for PLATO, Canada’s Indigenous-owned technology services company. Supporting reliable finance-sector systems for Canadian citizens.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing of online applications and phone systems in French
- Ensure functionality, usability, accuracy, and performance standards are met
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies
- Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Execute test cases and report results
- Provide insights and recommendations for improvements
- Participate in team meetings to discuss testing progress, challenges, and solutions
- Stay updated with software-testing best practices and emerging trends
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing
- Preferably experience in a bilingual French/English environment
- Proficiency in French, written and spoken
- Good understanding of English
- Experience with testing methodologies and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
