About the role
- Intermediate Project Manager managing complex Waterfall projects and Microsoft cloud transformation initiatives. Supporting PLATO, Canada’s largest Indigenous-owned software testing and technology services company.
Responsibilities
- Decompose project objectives, deliverables, and milestones into detailed activities, tasks, and work packages
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with overall project milestones
- Assign work, track progress, monitor deadlines, and ensure accountability for deliverables
- Facilitate regular project status meetings
- Review progress, address blockers, and align stakeholders on priorities and next steps
- Collect, validate, and consolidate status updates from project team members and workstream leads
- Maintain project plans in Microsoft Project (MPP), including schedules, dependencies, milestones, and resource allocations
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and provide clear reporting across stakeholders
Requirements
- Must have Secret clearance in place
- Proven experience successfully managing and delivering large-scale, complex projects using a Waterfall project delivery methodology
- Experience with detailed planning, milestone management, dependency tracking, and schedule governance
- Experience implementing Microsoft cloud-based solutions and platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Fabric OneLake, Fabric Data Factory, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Purview, Azure DevOps, Azure OpenAI Services, and Azure Integration Services
- Strong understanding of end-to-end data, analytics, AI, and cloud transformation initiatives within the Microsoft ecosystem
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project governance capabilities
