Responsibilities
Responsible for designing, building, and implementing machine learning models for strategic business initiatives to ensure the solutions meet business objectives.
Collaborate with a team of business and data professionals to plan and execute projects with best-in-class ML models and creatively apply these models.
Utilize optimization and simulation expertise to research and recommend the best approaches for solving our business problems.
Build pragmatic, scalable, and statistically rigorous solutions that can be applied across products and partners by developing statistical and machine learning methodologies.
Continuously improve the models and algorithms through research, testing, and iteration.
Elevate the data science discipline by aligning with other data scientists on best practices, automation, and standardization of all advanced analytical solutions, and end-to-end modelling processes, and offer optimizations. Drive execution through fast iteration.
Requirements
Over 3 years of experience in developing, testing, and applying machine learning algorithms
Proficiency in machine learning, optimization, big data, predictive analytics, time series analysis, recommender systems, reinforcement learning, and visualization tools, with a solid understanding of best practices in data science.
Strong programming skills with SQL, Python (and/or R), and associated machine-learning packages.
Comprehensive and solid data knowledge and skills, with a good understanding of data warehousing.
Experience with handling large, imperfect data is an asset.
Experience with implementing ML solutions on the cloud (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) preferred.
Ability to communicate/present complex ideas/analysis in a concise, business-friendly manner
Experience with ML automation and productionizing machine learning solutions is an asset.
Natural curiosity to solve problems and find meaning in complex data sets & customer behaviour analysis.
Strong business acumen to apply recommendations in the proper commercial context.
Master's or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields).
