Backend developer for travel tech company. Building innovative products for airlines and travelers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Work with us to build amazing new products for airlines and travelers.
Develop new features with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and front end, automation, and test developers.
Collaborate with peers to develop technical proposals and contribute to internal tools that optimize our development processes.
Assist our skilled support team and operations team in triaging and resolving issues.

Experience working on a team and delivering a product you are proud of.
Over 3 years of professional experience building web applications in an Agile/Scrum environment.
The ability to lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions.
A knack for writing understandable, testable, and maintainable code.
Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other developers.
Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
Experience designing and implementing software primarily in Java (Spring boot, open source libraries), and secondly using ReactJS and Typescript(experience with FE libraries) and deploying it in the cloud (AWS preferred).
A strong understanding of testing and the test pyramid, as well as pipelines and feedback loops, with a focus on quality delivery (JUnit, Mockito).
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
