Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize innovative opportunities to create new revenue streams for Power Factors
Lead the development of novel data science solutions from concept through prototype, leveraging Power Factors' extensive operational database of 200+ GW of renewable assets
Requirements
12+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a proven track record at established consultants, energy asset owners, or asset operators
Deep understanding of solar, wind, and battery storage asset operations, performance characteristics, and development / operational challenges
Demonstrated experience working with large-scale operational datasets from renewable energy assets
Demonstrated experience building prototypes and products used by energy asset owners, developers and operators to impact business decisions
Advanced proficiency in Python and modern data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, etc.)
Strong command of statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI techniques with practical application experience
Hands-on experience with data engineering concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Proven ability to take concepts from ideation through prototype to production-ready solutions
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative software development practices
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience collaborating closely with software engineering teams and speaking their language (APIs, microservices, deployment pipelines, etc.)
Track record of translating customer needs and business opportunities into technical solutions
Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives independently
Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in innovation or new product development
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate unstructured problem spaces
