Seeking a Vue.js front - end developer for a 6 - month contract at a bank, working hybrid in Toronto to develop and test complex web applications.
About the role
- Senior Front-End Engineer developing responsive user interfaces with Vue.js and Nuxt.js. Collaborating with design and UX teams for Prophix's Financial Performance Platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement responsive user interfaces using Vue.js and Nuxt.js with SSR.
- Build modular, maintainable front-end components and state management solutions.
- Collaborate with design and UX teams to translate mockups into functional, pixel-perfect implementations.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to accessibility standards.
- Optimize front-end performance and page load times.
- Integrate REST APIs and manage data flow between front-end and back-end services.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
Requirements
- A mix of experience, training, or education that helps you succeed in this role
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Front-End Developer.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the Vue.js ecosystem.
- Experience with Nuxt.js, including SSR, routing, and lifecycle hooks.
- Solid understanding of state management (Vuex or Pinia).
- Expertise in Tailwind CSS and SASS/SCSS.
- Experience with REST API integration and front-end build tools.
- Comfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review
- Ability to learn new tools and adapt as technology evolves
- Curiosity and openness to exploring new approaches
- Collaborative mindset when working with teams and technology
- Must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located
