Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop robust end-to-end data pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Design and implement data models within Azure Data Lake, leveraging Medallion Architecture
- Develop processes to ingest data from a variety of sources
- Automate data workflows and implement CI/CD practices for data pipelines
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
- Lead the development and maintenance of internal tools using Python
- Design, develop, and maintain custom web-based dashboards and interactive reporting tools using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python-based frameworks
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance
Requirements
- Relevant years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related technical role
- Exposure to or interest in capital projects, engineering consulting, project management, or construction management environments
- Proficiency or working knowledge of Python with the ability to develop tools, create reusable scripts for data analysis, and build data processing pipelines
- Familiarity with core Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks)
- Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to write queries to extract and transform data from relational databases
- Experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Python-based dashboard frameworks
- Interest in or exposure to building Generative AI modules (e.g., leveraging APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Awareness of Azure security best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field is ideal
- Willingness to travel when required
