Responsibilities
Provide maternity leave coverage from November 9, 2026 through April 30, 2027
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare and review account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial documentation
Maintain controls, documentation, and review trails supporting reporting accuracy and integrity
Prepare weekly and monthly management reporting packages and financial dashboards for senior leadership
Support variance analysis, KPI reporting, and performance management reporting
Manage multi-entity and multi-currency financial reporting and consolidations across CAD, EUR, and GBP entities
Support reporting for productions, entities, and business activities
Prepare and issue royalty reporting across the licensing portfolio
Support investor, ownership, and stakeholder reporting requirements
Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports for senior leadership and external partners
Support month-end and supplemental reporting for various intellectual property, including listed-company reporting deadlines
Deliver the 2027 budget using existing models and assumptions
Maintain and utilize financial reporting and planning tools, including automated reporting processes
Prepare US and Canada tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors
Assist with financial compliance and reporting requests
Conduct or support technical accounting research and documentation related to US GAAP
Partner with the EVP of Finance and Finance team to ensure continuity of financial operations
Provide cross-functional financial support and respond to senior management requests
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive financial, compliance, and business information
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting, corporate finance, FP&A, or financial reporting experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles
Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes from end to end
Experience with multi-entity and/or multi-currency accounting and consolidations
Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting and accounting systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, judgment, and discretion
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small Finance team and senior leadership
Experience working with QuickBooks Online
Preferred: experience using AI tools such as Claude in a finance or accounting context, or a clear appetite to build that capability
Preferred: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting/finance designation
Preferred: experience in entertainment, live events, media, gaming, or a related industry
Preferred: experience supporting private equity-backed organizations or businesses with complex reporting requirements
Preferred: experience with multi-currency consolidations
Preferred: familiarity with financial reporting automation tools, including LiveFlow or similar platforms
