About the role
- Commissioning Agent verifying mechanical systems through onsite testing and cloud-based documentation. Supporting Salas O’Brien’s engineering and consulting projects across Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Provide commissioning services through off-site development work and on-site physical verification services
- Work with cloud-based commissioning technology and software
- Develop detailed functional performance test procedures
- Attend commissioning and related meetings, chair meetings, and take minutes
- Complete onsite commissioning forms and identify deficiencies
- Represent VSC Group at commissioning site meetings
- Present progress status
- Identify items contractors must complete
- Answer contractor and client/owner representative questions
Requirements
- Completion of a Mechanical Engineering degree or Technologist/Technician diploma/degree in a related field
- 2+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning, and project management experience
- Computer literacy with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Project
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond thoughtfully and effectively to sensitive situations
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Travel throughout Alberta to perform commissioning services required
- Frequent travel required
