About the role
- Youth Outreach Worker providing support to at-risk youth and their families. Engaging with community services and promoting healthy life choices for youth.
Responsibilities
- Support marginalized and at-risk youth and their families
- Provide community outreach, prevention, and intervention with at-risk youth ages 12-21
- Attend regular supervision meetings and staff meetings
- Maintain responsibility for Microsoft 365 and Outlook accounts
- Complete HIFIS and file notes on individual client supports
Requirements
- College diploma in Social Services or related field
- Certificate in First Aid/CPR
- Certificate in Crisis Intervention/Conflict Resolution
- WHIMIS Training
- Valid Unrestricted Class G Driver’s License
- 1 to 3 years of experience working with homeless individuals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical skills
