About the role
- Senior Software Engineer building scalable systems for route planning and dispatch at Samsara. Collaborating across teams to enhance dispatcher tools and driver experiences with real-time data.
Responsibilities
- Create web applications used by dispatchers to create, assign, and monitor routes in real time.
- Develop core services for route creation, optimization, live tracking, and reporting
- Implement APIs and integrations with TMS/ERP systems that process millions of route events.
- Bring to life Driver-facing commercial navigation features in partnership with our mobile team.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience in software development.
- Strong programming/coding fundamentals
- Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions.
- An ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones with your team.
