About the role

  • IT Senior Manager overseeing master data governance across global divisions at Saputo. Leading data quality initiatives and managing a high-performing team to enhance data asset usage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all organization-wide master data governance activities.
  • Improve the quality of data and enable the organization to leverage it as an enterprise asset.
  • Oversee the execution of master data governance activities across all Saputo global divisions.
  • Govern critical enterprise data domains (e.g., core master data, supply chain and operational data, and other key business data assets).
  • Manage a team, setting and reviewing annual goals, assigning project responsibilities, coaching performance and supporting growth.
  • Establish and govern an enterprise master data governance implementation roadmap.
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to master data governance and ensure clear accountability.
  • Facilitate the development of master data quality standards and adoption requirements.
  • Define KPIs and quality metrics, monitoring compliance with standards and policies.
  • Establish governance training programs for employees.
  • Lead the global Master Data Governance council and other related committees.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in master data governance, master data management, or related roles.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP Master Data (e.g. Material, Vendor, Customer and GL).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and coaching a team.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, data profiling, and data quality assessment.
  • Experience with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., SAP MDG, SAP Data Services, Info-Steward, Collibra, Informatica, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
  • Able to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work-streams, teams, business functions, geographies, time zones, & language.
  • Ability to work independently ensuring alignment to our IT strategy.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry is considered an asset.
