About the role

  • Bilingual Reimbursement Specialist facilitating patient access to prescription drug coverage in Canada. Managing relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the reimbursement process to secure prescription drug coverage for patients.
  • Develops strong relationships with patients, caregivers, and their healthcare team by instilling confidence, trust, security, and relief.
  • Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physicians, and healthcare professionals to optimize reimbursement solutions.
  • Help patients navigate the insurance landscape, walking them through how to find insurance forms, acquire signatures and submit to their insurers for a response.
  • Prepare, organize, and submit all required documentation to insurance providers and public/federal funding programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinics and healthcare partners.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy teams to initiate and complete dispensing processes once funding is approved.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of public, private, and federal funding mechanisms and reimbursement pathways.
  • Ensuring complete and high-quality data entry into our database systems.
  • Reports Adverse Events / Severe Adverse Events (AE / SAEs) by following SOP guidelines.
  • Complete all relevant reports (time sheets, expenses, mileage, validate CRM reports, etc.) as per specified timelines and as per required standards.
  • Maintain program data accuracy through review of program documentation for completeness and consistency.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) – required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer or client service role.
  • Prior experience in a reimbursement, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance environment is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Word, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and think creatively to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
