About the role

  • Professional Engineer responsible for Electrical Systems Integration in aviation, developing and maintaining industry standards while collaborating with multifaceted teams.

Responsibilities

  • TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH 🎯
  • In this role, you will be supported by the Electrical Systems Manager as a Professional – Engineering – Electrical Systems Integration in a multifaceted position within the Functional Engineering team. The Electrical Systems Integration team is responsible for developing, certifying, improving, and maintaining industry-leading standards for electrical power generation & distribution system architectures and lighting systems on our aircraft. Our team supports all product lines. In this role, you will:
  • Participate in technical improvements and developments of electrical systems for our existing and future airplane programs (architecture optimization, integration of new technologies, etc.)
  • Prepare and/or review engineering documents related to electrical system modifications on our airplanes (production and in-service aircraft)
  • Propose, develop, and test new approaches to optimize our business aircraft in areas such as emissions reduction, cost, weight, performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to trade studies related to the introduction and integration of new technologies on aircraft
  • Learn and contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain to capture lessons learned and industry best practices (product & process)
  • Manage interfaces with internal and external partners and suppliers on technical matters
  • Represent the Electrical discipline to internal and external collaborators

Requirements

  • As an ideal candidate, you:
  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical systems integration or a related field
  • Possess knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc.) and are familiar with airworthiness regulations and certification authorities (TCCA, FAA, EASA) applicable to electrical systems
  • Are comfortable working in teams and can interact with various functions, including airworthiness, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to reach common objectives
  • Have strong oral communication skills and technical writing ability; French is an asset
  • Are able to work independently and take initiative to achieve assigned objectives
  • Are motivated to learn and to work on multiple projects simultaneously
