Responsibilities

  • Perform numerical icing simulations on complex aerodynamic configurations.
  • Prepare, execute and analyze wind tunnel test campaigns (high-lift and icing), including CFD and certification activities.
  • Design and develop advanced mesh generation, deformation and adaptation strategies for icing simulations.
  • Analyze aerodynamic performance in icing conditions to support design and system evaluations (ice protection, degradation of stability and control, overall impact on aircraft performance).
  • Develop and integrate advanced CFD workflows for icing using high-performance computing (HPC).
  • Act as the technical authority for icing aerodynamics for Flight Sciences, Loads & Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Systems and Certification teams.
  • Support flight certification activities in icing conditions and engage with regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in engineering with a specialization in CFD and/or in-flight icing.
  • 5 to 10+ years of practical experience in aerodynamic CFD and icing simulations, with demonstrated impact on certification or design.
  • Strong foundations in numerical methods for PDEs, including spatial discretization, time integration and solver technologies.
  • Experience with mesh generation tools (Pointwise) and CAD environments (NX, CATIA).
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and HPC best practices.
  • Programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
  • Proficiency in French and English.
  • Eligibility to work on defense projects (CGD, ITAR).

Benefits
