About the role

  • Learning and Training Coordinator developing digital curricula and training programs for Springboard’s Community Learning HUB. Supporting facilitators, webinars, partnerships, and professional development across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and oversee multiple partnerships
  • Respond to facilitator and partner agency needs
  • Schedule and coordinate facilitator engagement and training activities
  • Maintain resources and training evaluation materials
  • Research best practices in adult and/or youth education, transformative learning, and participatory learning methods
  • Prepare literature reviews for module development
  • Oversee creation of learning materials aligned with HUB standards for modules, journals, and facilitator guides
  • Advocate for and promote the HUB
  • Respond to questions and communicate future HUB goals
  • Create professional development opportunities for the HUB’s Community of Practice
  • Compile feedback regarding HUB platform efficacy and improvements
  • Collaborate with web developers, designers, and community outreach leads
  • Plan and coordinate workflow and projects
  • Handle confidential materials and matters according to organizational policies, procedures, and legal standards
  • Facilitate Orientation and Discovery webinars, youth justice site-specific agency trainings, and facilitator onboarding and support

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in adult and/or youth education, social work, public health, the social services sector, or a combination of related education and experience in those fields
  • 2+ years of experience in training, facilitation, adult and/or youth education, curriculum writing, or other related non-profit work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver high quality training programs in a supportive environment
  • Experience compiling research and best practices to create engaging learning content with evidence-based frameworks
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, including ability to conduct presentations in large groups
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Dropbox
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Zoom
  • Initiative, motivation, and strong work ethic
  • Problem solving, researching, and analyzing information
  • Ability to clearly communicate results to a variety of users
  • Ability to contribute to projects and partnerships from an anti-oppressive framework
  • Satisfactory VSS, references, and proof of education required for employment
