About the role

  • Senior UX Designer leading design for SpryCIS, an enterprise utility billing system at SpryPoint. Collaborating in triads with product owners and engineers to deliver intuitive user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design across your SpryCIS squads alongside a Staff Designer, helping build a shared design practice in a product area that's ready for it.
  • Collaborate with your product and engineering partners in a triad. Advocate for the user, build real relationships, and help the people around you make better decisions because design is in the room.
  • Translate complex workflows and product requirements into experiences that feel clear and obvious. These are people doing demanding, real-world jobs, and the design should make that easier.
  • Bring visual craft to CIS. Use typography, hierarchy, and considered use of space to make complex information easier to read and act on.
  • Run user research and usability testing to get close to how utility professionals actually work, then let that shape the design.
  • Produce wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that make your thinking visible and easy for product and engineering to build from.
  • Engage in design critiques, share what you’re learning, and push back when something isn’t right. You're part of a team that cares about craft and making each other better.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of UX design experience and a portfolio that shows your thinking. Bonus if some of that work is in enterprise SaaS, workflow-heavy, or data-dense environments.
  • You care about visual craft and it shows in your work. You know a beautiful interface is also a more usable one, and your portfolio demonstrates that in functional software, not just polished consumer apps.
  • You've led design on a product area, not just worked within it. You own the process and the output.
  • Comfortable working in a triad with product and engineering. You can influence without always having the authority, negotiate when priorities conflict, and get teams that haven't worked closely with design before on your side.
  • You share what you know and you bring people along. Mentoring junior designers comes naturally to you.
  • You use data: usage patterns, analytics, customer feedback. You know how to let the numbers inform your decisions and back up your thinking.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other design and prototyping tools.
  • Solid understanding of interaction design and information architecture, particularly in complex, task-heavy interfaces.
  • Bonus: You're curious about AI and interested in how it could change how we design.

Benefits

  • Remote-first environment, flexible working hours across North America, and hub offices in Charlottetown & Atlanta
  • Comprehensive compensation package that grows with you
  • MacBook + $800 to create your ideal home workspace
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance from day one
  • Generous PTO and unlimited sick days
  • RRSP (Canada) and 401k (US) matching programs
  • $2,500 annual development fund, tuition assistance, and Book Bounty program
  • Annual company events and team offsites that bring us together
