About the role

  • Program Manager overseeing master data initiatives at Stanley Black & Decker. Responsible for project execution and stakeholder collaboration to enhance data management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan, and monitor execution of master data build tasks to support various high-impact corporate programs and initiatives
  • Develop and refine internal ways of working across pillars within the Master Data group
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business units, IT, and data governance teams to define deliverables and due dates to ensure alignment with strategic goals and team capacity
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, schedules, and resource allocations for master data initiatives
  • Monitor project progress, chase issue resolution, and communicate status updates to leadership and project sponsors
  • Organize the intake of new master data requests for team prioritization, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives
  • Facilitate change management and training activities to ensure successful adoption of master data solutions
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies related to data integration, migration, and governance
  • Measure and report on the status and effectiveness of master data projects and their contribution to corporate objectives
  • Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of Master Data-specific system and process testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on data management, data governance, or enterprise systems
  • Proven track record of delivering complex data projects in a large, matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and change management best practices
  • Understands master data management principles, data quality, and data governance frameworks
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Experience with SAP, Salsify, Appian and Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
