Engineer designing mechanical systems for industrial buildings. Collaborating on complex industrial projects across Quebec at Stantec.
Responsibilities
Design and size ventilation, heating, plumbing and process systems tailored to industrial environments (factories, processing centers, warehouses, etc.);
Prepare drawings, specifications and technical calculations according to the specific needs of industrial processes;
Draft and approve technical reports and design studies;
Conduct on-site surveys in existing industrial facilities;
Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to fully understand operational and technical constraints;
Participate in project planning and coordination;
Provide expertise in optimizing mechanical and energy systems;
Ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements specific to industrial environments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building mechanical systems, ideally in an industrial context;
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
Experience designing for heavy industrial environments (strong asset);
ASP Construction card (asset);
Familiarity with Revit, BIM and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Strong command of French, both written and spoken;
Knowledge of English (asset) to collaborate with teams or clients outside Quebec;
Motivated by challenges and solution-seeking.
