About the role

  • Intermediate Hydrotechnical Engineer developing hydrodynamic models and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams at Stantec. Focusing on water resources and environmental impact assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop hydrodynamic models using tools such as MIKE 3, MIKE 21, and Telemac to support coastal and river engineering projects
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports documenting field investigations, analytical findings, and interpretations
  • Support proposal development and assist in creating work plans, project schedules, and budgets
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding and consistent application of industry standards

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Engineering with a focus on hydrodynamics, water resources, or hydrology
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in consulting or regulatory environments
  • Mining experience is an asset, specifically mine water balances and mine water management
  • Regular use of hydrodynamic modeling tools
  • Professional registration with PEO or PGO eligibility to obtain P.Eng. or P.Geo.
  • Valid G-class driver’s license required
