About the role
- Junior Hydrotechnical Engineer contributing to coastal and hydraulic projects within the Water Resources Technical Team in Markham. Reporting to a Project Manager and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- contribute to a variety of coastal, hydrotechnical, hydrologic, and hydraulic projects
- report directly to a Project Manager or Team Lead
- develop hydrodynamic models using tools such as MIKE 3, MIKE 21, and Telemac
- apply a strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles
- prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports
- support proposal development and assist in creating work plans, project schedules, and budgets
- collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- demonstrate a solid understanding and consistent application of industry standards
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Engineering with a focus on hydrodynamics, water resources, or hydrology
- Minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience in consulting or regulatory environments
- Regular use of hydrodynamic modeling tools
- Professional registration with PEO or PGO eligibility to obtain P.Eng. or P.Geo.
- Valid G-class driver’s license required
