About the role

  • Ingénieur en mécanique du bâtiment concevant divers projets CVCA et participant à l'innovation durable chez Stantec. Vous serez basé à Québec, en mode hybride.

Responsibilities

  • Design and draft various projects for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
  • Participate in performing design calculations
  • Ensure drawings comply with guidelines, code requirements, and other regulations
  • Participate in the design of automatic controls (building automation) and in the commissioning of mechanical systems
  • Perform multidisciplinary coordination and assist with project delivery
  • Prepare drawings and specifications for ventilation, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing systems
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of technical reports
  • Establish and maintain client contacts to request or provide technical information related to the project
  • Perform site surveys of existing installations
  • Provide mentorship to junior colleagues (as appropriate according to skills)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, the majority in consulting engineering
  • Licensed/registered with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Dynamic, proactive, and focused on teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset
  • ASP construction card
  • Good command of written and spoken French
  • Knowledge of English is an asset to facilitate collaboration with internal teams outside Quebec or with clients
