Responsibilities

  • Lead challenging projects, ranging from small assignments to more complex mandates where you will be the main point of contact.
  • Serve as the technical lead on medium-sized projects, confidently guiding the mechanical discipline.
  • Conceive and design innovative solutions by analyzing, comparing, and recommending approaches that make a difference.
  • Design and validate robust mechanical systems and high-performance industrial equipment.
  • Leverage your expertise in material handling to design efficient and safe solutions for the transport of bulk materials.
  • Act as a key technical advisor for colleagues and clients, bringing your expertise where it matters.
  • Conduct field visits to client sites, carry out precise surveys, and monitor on-site work.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of deliverables.
  • Prepare strategic documents such as tender submissions and service proposals that reflect our expertise.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables by checking every detail before delivery.
  • Mentor and inspire technicians and engineers in training (CPI) to help grow the team.

Requirements

  • Professional engineer in mechanical engineering and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) for at least 8 years.
  • Proven expertise in the design of material handling equipment (conveyors, elevators, material transport systems).
  • Certificate in general health and safety for construction sites (ASP), essential for performing visits in industrial environments.
