About the role

Frontend Engineer building Supabase’s open-source developer tools and Studio product. Shipping React features, quality pipelines, and end-to-end improvements for millions of developers.

Responsibilities

Own frontend tooling for Supabase’s marketing/docs website and core product, Studio
Ship products and features from 0→1 through production
Use support threads, usage data, and direct user conversations to guide product iteration
Build and improve quality pipelines covering type safety, linting, formatting, unit and component tests, API contract tests, accessibility, visual regression, and bundle-size budgets
Add checks to prevent recurring regressions
Work end-to-end across frontend UI, API contracts, preview deployments, and observability
Operate autonomously in a public codebase read and contributed to by thousands of developers
Review AI-generated code, improve architecture, and establish verification guardrails
Communicate asynchronously and manage work independently

Track record of taking a product from 0→1, launching it to real users, and iterating based on feedback
Deep frontend fundamentals and strong React skills
TypeScript proficiency
Understanding of SSR, streaming, server components, and edge technologies
Experience building quality and tooling pipelines
Experience with Vitest, Playwright, MSW, or equivalent tools
Comfort reviewing and guiding AI coding agents
Ability to work autonomously, manage time, communicate clearly in writing, and thrive without assigned tickets
