About the role

  • Financial Crime Risk Analyst II supporting TD’s banking compliance and enhanced due diligence programs. Analyzing high-risk customers, regulatory reporting, and FCRM controls.

Responsibilities

  • Provide FCRM research, evaluation, operational, reporting, and analytical support to business FCRM partners
  • Coordinate requests to and from business FCRM partners
  • Prepare summaries, communications, reports, and presentations for management, regulators, and stakeholders
  • Recommend responses to enterprise FCRM Program questions and escalate sensitive issues
  • Analyze data and draw conclusions for program health reporting
  • Analyze regulatory changes and emerging trends and recommend enhancements or remediation of FCRM gaps
  • Identify matters requiring review or escalation and liaise with appropriate staff to resolve them
  • Coordinate tracking and reporting of FCRM initiatives and programs
  • Manage workload, correspondence, confidential information, risks, and high-risk activities
  • Provide guidance and assistance to FCRM partners
  • Coordinate with FCRM and compliance partners on consistent application of FCRM
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, cross-training, coaching, and team development
  • Report to a Manager, FCRM Quality Assurance

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for High-Risk Customers (HRC), including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and high-risk industries
  • Experience performing EDD/AML reviews within Capital Markets, Correspondent Banking, and/or Wholesale Banking environments is considered a strong asset
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Audit or second-line testing functions is an asset
  • Understanding of Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) regulatory requirements and Reasonable Grounds to Suspect (RGS) thresholds, including experience assessing investigative conclusions and regulatory reporting decisions
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, or equivalent financial crime certifications are considered an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet SLA requirements
  • Knowledge of FCRM policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Ability to manage confidential information and escalate high-risk issues
  • Ability to analyze data and emerging regulatory trends
