About the role

  • Equipment Superintendent providing in-field support to operations ensuring vehicle and equipment uptime in Canada. Collaborates with local suppliers and oversees maintenance technicians for effective operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-field hands-on day-to-day support to operations
  • Ensure the maximum availability and uptime of the vehicles and equipment
  • Ensure safety and reliability of the fleet of vehicles and equipment
  • Support equipment maintenance documentation
  • Maintain optimum utilization of fleet and manage third party rentals
  • Understand and become familiar with project scopes
  • Work with local suppliers to support operational needs
  • Oversee maintenance technicians in servicing and repairing of equipment
  • Proactively analyze equipment performance and trends
  • Effectively plan ahead based on upcoming work and lessons learned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience with fleet maintenance of vehicles and construction equipment
  • Familiar with maintenance and work order practices
  • Experience using MS Office and an aptitude for learning various computer systems
  • Familiarity of JD Edwards or equivalent, an asset
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Capable of understanding and following written procedures
