About the role
- Equipment Superintendent providing in-field support to operations ensuring vehicle and equipment uptime in Canada. Collaborates with local suppliers and oversees maintenance technicians for effective operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-field hands-on day-to-day support to operations
- Ensure the maximum availability and uptime of the vehicles and equipment
- Ensure safety and reliability of the fleet of vehicles and equipment
- Support equipment maintenance documentation
- Maintain optimum utilization of fleet and manage third party rentals
- Understand and become familiar with project scopes
- Work with local suppliers to support operational needs
- Oversee maintenance technicians in servicing and repairing of equipment
- Proactively analyze equipment performance and trends
- Effectively plan ahead based on upcoming work and lessons learned
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience with fleet maintenance of vehicles and construction equipment
- Familiar with maintenance and work order practices
- Experience using MS Office and an aptitude for learning various computer systems
- Familiarity of JD Edwards or equivalent, an asset
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and set priorities
- Capable of understanding and following written procedures
