About the role

Responsibilities
- Carry out supervision related to roadworks, landscaping and underground infrastructure (watermain, sanitary and storm sewers, etc.);
- Ensure that the work complies with the plans and specifications;
- Ensure compliance with current environmental regulations;
- Verify various payment certificates;
- Coordinate and approve work performed by the laboratory;
- Complete the daily report;
- Issue notices of non-compliance;
- Perform measurements and progress quantities (progressive pay items).
- Monitor changes and approve modifications in conjunction with the project manager;
- May perform office work (estimating, design review, etc.) during site shutdown periods.
Requirements
- Hold a high school diploma (DES), a DEC in civil engineering, or another relevant discipline;
- Have 5 to 10 years or more of relevant experience;
- Training in civil engineering site supervision (infrastructure/civil);
- Knowledge of the City of Montreal’s specifications and procedures;
- Knowledge of MTQ standards and BNQ standards;
- Hold the ASP Construction card;
- Strong command of spoken and written French;
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a vehicle;
- Enjoy working outdoors (summer and winter);
- Ability to work long hours on site.
