Responsibilities
Carry out supervision related to roadworks, landscaping and underground infrastructure (watermain, sanitary and storm sewers, etc.);
Ensure that the work complies with the plans and specifications;
Ensure compliance with current environmental regulations;
Verify various payment certificates;
Coordinate and approve work performed by the laboratory;
Complete the daily report;
Issue notices of non-compliance;
Perform measurements and progress quantities (progressive pay items).
Monitor changes and approve modifications in conjunction with the project manager;
May perform office work (estimating, design review, etc.) during site shutdown periods.
Requirements
Hold a high school diploma (DES), a DEC in civil engineering, or another relevant discipline;
Have 5 to 10 years or more of relevant experience;
Training in civil engineering site supervision (infrastructure/civil);
Knowledge of the City of Montreal’s specifications and procedures;
Knowledge of MTQ standards and BNQ standards;
Hold the ASP Construction card;
Strong command of spoken and written French;
Possess a valid driver’s license and a vehicle;
Enjoy working outdoors (summer and winter);
Ability to work long hours on site.
