Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care for TELUS Health Family Health and Travel Health Programs
Meet one-on-one with travel health clients to provide counseling, vaccinations, medications, and general health advice
Review clients’ medical histories and discuss BC Centre for Disease Control requirements and recommendations for safe travel
Assess care needs upon intake and triage acute concerns
Navigate clients to appropriate services
Provide disease prevention, health promotion, and chronic and complex disease care and management across the lifespan
Provide direct nursing support and services to clients and the interdisciplinary team
Coordinate and manage client care
Conduct health assessments, immunizations, procedures, and regular patient follow-up
Develop, assess, implement, and evaluate care plans
Apply current guidelines, practice standards, and medical directives
Communicate and work effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
Provide safe, competent, and compassionate care
Requirements
BScN required, or Nursing Diploma for BC
Interest in pediatric and maternity care
Current RN certification and license in good standing
Current First Aid/CPR certification
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in the private or public sector
BC CDC immunization course completed and up to date preferred
Previous primary care or acute care experience is an asset
Computer skills, including EMR, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, are an asset
Thorough knowledge of primary care nursing within the scope of the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills

Ability to take initiative and demonstrate proactive/preventive approaches to care
