About the role
- Senior UX/UI Designer creating intuitive digital experiences for TELUS Health. Leading web and mobile design efforts to enhance patient and provider interactions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design across web and mobile experiences for members, providers, and administrators
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to define user flows, interaction models, and design system patterns
- Translate research insights and behavioral data into clear, actionable design solutions
- Create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that bring ideas to life
- Ensure consistency and quality through adherence to design systems, accessibility standards, and brand principles
- Facilitate design critiques, co-creation workshops, and collaborative reviews across teams
- Contribute to the evolution of our design system and advocate for best practices in usability and accessibility
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of craft excellence and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, ideally within digital health, SaaS, or complex platform ecosystems
- A strong portfolio displaying user-centered design process, cross-platform design, and experience solving complex problems
- Proficiency in Figma / FigJam
- Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and usability principles
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Ability to think strategically about user experience and system-level design
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills - able to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders
- Passion for improving health outcomes and creating meaningful digital experiences that empower people
- Nice to Have: Experience designing for healthcare, telehealth, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with service design, journey mapping, and systems thinking
- Understanding of front-end development principles, (HTML/CSS/React knowledge is a plus)
- Experience planning and executing research activities such as concept testing and usability testing
- Exposure to data-driven design or behavior change frameworks
