About the role

  • Senior Product Designer at Shakepay focusing on end-to-end product design and user experiences. Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to shape innovative financial solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of end-to-end design for major product areas: Lead projects from research and discovery through prototyping, testing, and final execution on mobile and web.
  • Shape product direction: Partner early with product managers and engineers to define problems, explore solutions, and influence roadmap decisions rather than just executing on them.
  • Design for impact: Create experiences that improve key metrics such as activation, engagement, retention, and conversion while delivering intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
  • Advocate for customer understanding: Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions and ensure the team stays grounded in real user needs.
  • Scale our design systems: Contribute to scalable design systems and patterns that ensure consistency across the app, web, and marketing surfaces.
  • Raise the bar for design: Help improve design quality, processes, and cross-team collaboration. Provide feedback and contribute to a strong design culture.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer products.
  • Strong experience owning end-to-end user journeys on mobile and web.
  • Ability to balance product thinking, systems design, and visual craft.
  • Comfortable working on ambiguous problems and shaping solutions from scratch.
  • Excellent communicator able to articulate design decisions to cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborative by default, with strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
  • Comfortable with tools like Figma and interaction prototyping to bring ideas to life.
  • Passion for Bitcoin, financial empowerment, and the future of money.
