About the role

  • Senior Product Designer leading end-to-end design projects for Shakepay's financial services. Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design for core product areas: Lead projects from research and discovery through prototyping, testing, and final execution across mobile and web.
  • Shape product direction: Partner with Product Managers and Engineers early to define problems, explore solutions, and influence roadmap decisions—not just execute on them.
  • Design for impact: Create experiences that improve key metrics like activation, engagement, retention, and conversion, while delivering intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
  • Champion customer understanding: Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions and ensure the team stays grounded in real user needs.
  • Evolve our design systems: Contribute to scalable design systems and patterns that ensure consistency across app, web, and marketing surfaces.
  • Raise the bar for design: Help improve design quality, processes, and collaboration across teams. Provide feedback and contribute to a strong design culture.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer products
  • Strong experience owning end-to-end user journeys across mobile and web
  • Ability to balance product thinking, systems design, and visual craft
  • Comfortable working on ambiguous problems and shaping solutions from scratch
  • Clear communicator who can articulate design decisions to cross-functional partners
  • Collaborative by default, with strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, and Marketing
  • Comfortable using tools like Figma and prototyping interactions to bring ideas to life
  • Passion for Bitcoin, financial empowerment, and the future of money
