Responsibilities
Acts as SME in the creation of project deliverables (estimates, schedules, risk assessments, etc.) as a project team member and is financially aware of budgets and costs ensuring financial budgets are in line with infrastructure project costs.
Designs and develops processes and procedures for IOS to function in clearly defined actions during Infrastructure incidents and in day-to-day operations.
Mentors team and provides leadership direction during incidents to ensure organization gets business back up and running quickly while ensuring the safeguard of organizational assets.
Provides decision requests to IOS leadership as Cloud and Platform Infrastructure subject matter expert.
Participates as SME to support team during business hours and after hours for all cloud and platform incidents.
Develops the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Delivery department focusing on the technologies within the realm and the operationalization of processes, procedures based on ITIL framework and best practices.
Ensures the delivery of customer centric & effective cloud and platform support services to our organization that achieve service levels agreements.
Actively participate in planning for business and technology projects, changes, and enhancements to ensure effective transition of support to the Infrastructure Technology delivery teams (Operationalization).
Collaborate with business and technology partners to inform of trends, remove roadblocks, and contribute to prioritize, plan for, and implement improvements that optimize our customer’s experience.
Contributes to the design and continuous improvement of the infrastructure delivery change process and procedures.
Understands the impact of their own and team performance and works to continuously improves SLA and KPI metrics.
Participates as a key contributor for fiscal planning for Cloud and platform Technology by providing the necessary research, information, and recommendations.
Acts as SME to respond to the monitoring of events generated by various cloud and platform ecosystem technologies.
As an IOS leader actively participate and works to promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices within the organization.
Mentors team and acts as advisor to Manager, IT Infrastructure and VP IOS on cloud and platform infrastructure systems news, trends and best practices.
Requirements
1-3 years with continuous educational commitment to development of leadership practices
3-5 Years of Knowledge and experience in the field of cloud and platform
2-3 years implementing end-to-end cloud and platform solutions
Broad knowledge of industry knowledge specializing in server virtualization
3+ Years of Information Technology experience with desktop and network technologies
Microsoft Azure Certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Azure DevOps Engineer
Ability to break down complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Good Project Management and/or DevOps skills.
Experience using alerting and monitoring and/or other similar tools
Financial management and budget experience
Experience with cloud and platform technology in an enterprise operation
Ability to travel up to 10% of the year within Canada
