About the role
- Jr. Youth Ministry Associate leading Junior Youth Ministry at Langley South site. Focusing on discipling students and equipping volunteer leaders in a gospel-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee weekly Junior Youth gatherings, including midweek programs, Sunday mornings, events, camps, and retreats
- Recruit, train, support, and disciple volunteer youth leaders and teams
- Preach regularly at Junior Youth gatherings and develop preaching skills within the team
- Build meaningful relationships with students, leaders, and parents through consistent communication and follow-up
- Partner with the Senior Youth Associate to create a cohesive youth ministry strategy
- Coordinate worship, production, and program logistics for Junior Youth events
- Ensure smooth transitions for Grade 5 students into Jr. Youth and Grade 8 students into Sr. Youth
- Maintain accurate attendance, metrics, calendars, and online information
- Network with local schools, churches, and community organizations
- Foster a healthy, gospel-centered, invitational ministry culture
