About the role

  • Data Scientist/ Senior Data Scientist at Tiger Analytics applying data science in Retail Analytics and Inventory Management to drive business value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced analytics models for assortment optimization, SKU rationalization, and space planning.
  • Build predictive models for demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Design and deploy ML models for inventory forecasting and allocation strategies.
  • Work with large structured and unstructured datasets from POS, ERP, and supply chain systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, product, and engineering to translate business challenges into analytical solutions.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders through data storytelling, visualizations, and presentations.
  • Share your passion for Data Science with the broader enterprise community; identify and develop long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods and standards.
  • Collaborate, coach, and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.
  • Stay connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Data Science within Retail/CPG domain.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Assortment Planning & Inventory Management analytics.
  • Strong programming skills in Python & SQL with demonstrated use of scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, etc.).
  • Experience in time-series forecasting models (ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, XGBoost).
  • Hands‑on in experimentation, diagnostics, and evaluation, comfortable operating with imperfect data and iterative validation; experience supporting merchandising, assortment planning, or supply‑chain decisions in a large enterprise environment
  • Experience with optimization techniques (Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming).
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Experience developing models from inception to deployment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
