About the role
- Senior Backend Engineer scaling APIs and consumer-facing systems at Tilt. Building machine-learning-powered credit products that expand access to fair financial services.
Responsibilities
- Design and scale backend systems powering consumer-facing products
- Build and refine APIs delivering instant, seamless experiences
- Collaborate with product, credit/finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and roadmap planning
- Drive continuous improvement in code quality, security, and operational excellence
- Share knowledge, mentor peers, and contribute to engineering best practices
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience
- Experience with .NET (C#) or similar frameworks
- Experience scaling consumer-facing products with significant transaction volumes
- Ability to effectively leverage AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Augment, or Factory
- Collaborative problem-solving orientation
